The IHA Spring Track & Field Team had one of its finest seasons in history, culminating in an undefeated dual meet record of 3-0 and winning the League Championship, County Relay, County Group, and State Sectional Championships for the third year in a row. The 2023 season produced eight school records and numerous top 10 performances in the annals of school history. Leanna Johnston '23 broke the school record in the 1500 meters and was the County Relays outstanding performer for the second consecutive year. Abigail Romero '24 broke the school record in the long and triple jump and won the Bergen Meet of Champions triple jump. Olivia Tacconi '23, Abigail Romero '24, Lauren Dunnigan '23, and Sophia Ditchfield-Agboh '24 broke the school record in the 4 x 100 relay, posting the sixth fastest time in Bergen County history. Julia Sobilo '25 broke a twelve-year school record in the discus and placed fifth at the state Meet of Champions, and Evelyn Roman '25 placed third in the rising stars javelin at the New Balance Nationals. IHA finished the season as the number 1 ranked team in North Jersey!
