International Women's Day

IHA celebrated both International Women’s Day and our Day of Giving on March 8, 2024. Students were greeted when they first arrived at the school with signs reminding them that at IHA, every day is women's day!

We then started the morning with an inspiring assembly for the entire school. IHA was thrilled to welcome back alumna Kathleen (Donohue) Wright '07 on this important day to speak to the student body about female empowerment, the value of women's inclusion, and the importance of recognizing the incredible achievements of the women of previous generations. Kathleen, who is currently director of production operations at Macy's, stayed after the assembly to talk with students at a breakfast provided for everyone by the IHA administration and office of advancement.

Later in the afternoon of International Women's Day, IHA also hosted our annual Day of Giving Phone-a-Thon. We are incredibly appreciative of all our student callers who did such an amazing job calling the IHA community. We are also grateful for our generous alumnae, current families, parents of alumnae, faculty, staff, board members and friends who helped us surpass our donor goal! We are proud to announce that thanks to 619 donors, we raised more than $103,000. A special thank you to Mr. Thomas Murphy P'24, who generously matched every gift dollar for dollar up to $50,000.

March 8, 2024, was an amazing day honoring and recognizing the many women who make up IHA's unique and unmatched sisterhood!
